There are and have been thousands upon thousands of PGA of America professionals through the years. As of UNLV Professional Golf Management Program director Chris Cain earning the distinction in September 2020, there were only 372 who earned the rarified distinction. A letter from PGA of America president Suzy Whaley officially announced the hard-earned title. –By Brian Hurlburt, Las Vegas Golf Insider.

“The PGA Master Professional Program was established in 1969 to recognize PGA Professionals who make a significant effort to improve themselves as golf professionals and maintain the highest degree of excellence for themselves and their operations,” Whaley wrote. “Christopher has recognized the importance of striving for distinction within the golf industry by successfully completing the PGA’s highest level of education. Thank you for encouraging Christopher to take the time to prepare for this program.”

“The first thing that comes to mind is it’s a new beginning,” says Cain. “I look forward to leveraging this recent distinction to increase my role as a mentor and help advance the PGA Professionals’ service in Executive Management opportunities.”
