Kenny Ebalo won the 2014 Nevada State Mid Am, held at Rio Secco, and the player of the year award. In 2020, Ebalo, the current SNGA president, won the Nevada State Mid-Am, played again at Rio Secco, and there is still plenty of time to discuss 2020 player of the year honors, so who knows the future.

Ebalo defeated the SNGA’s Craig Erickson by seven shots to win the 2020 tournament. Northern Nevada’s Eric Hansen tied for third with the SNGA’s Todd Roberts was fourth.

“I don’t know if it’s my favorite golf course but I do know what you’re supposed to do at this golf course,” he said. “I have a good game plan at this golf course and it worked out.”
